Our Story

Freeport Bible Church, a member of the Bahamas Evangelical Church Association, was founded in April 1976 by Rev Ed ward Godet. The first church service was held at a home with a congregation comprising of eight persons. Over the following ten years, they met in three additional locations before the first edifice was built on West Atlantic Drive.
In 1987 Pastor Wilbur Outten was installed as Senior Pastor where he served until his death in January, 2017. Since that time the church was led by the former Associate Pastor Karol  Roache as the interim Senior Pastor until May 2018 but now is led by Pastor Kyle Maycock who serves currently as the Senior Pastor.
